Verizon Wireless Guy

This is a pretty funny story about how Verizon Wireless technicians drive around testing their cell signals. The funny part is that they don't say "can you hear me now". Instead, they say "these days, chicken leg is a rare dish" and "the jacket hung on the back of the wide chair". Apparently, some Swiss geniuses determined that these two phrases test the full phonetic range of the English language. Somehow I don't think that would catch on as a company's slogan. :)
You can see some pictures of their testing equipment here.

Ubuntu Update

Update on the install into Virtual PC 2004. I did not have to do step 5 on this page. After the install I rebooted and everything worked fine. I've been playing with Ubuntu a little and it seems to be pretty darn nice. Includes email clients, FireFox 2 browser, OpenOffice 2, just to name a few. One thing I notice is how large everything seems on the screen. I adjusted the fonts down to a smaller point size but everything seems kind of large and catroon-ish looking.
